Hi, I'm Maren. I live with my partner Ren in a little house we're slowly fixing up. I work in interior design, which mostly means I spend my days arguing about paint swatches and then come home and argue with Ren about different paint swatches.

I started this blog because I like writing things down. Recipes I've tried, places we've been, stuff I noticed on a walk. Nothing groundbreaking. My friend Lissa says I have a gift for making the mundane sound interesting, which I think was a compliment.

The name "Wrong Version" comes from something my grandmother used to say— "You're never living the wrong version of your life." I liked that. I'm still not sure she was right, but it made a good blog name.

When I'm not writing here, I'm probably cooking something that's slightly too ambitious for a weeknight, or walking around the neighborhood trying to identify trees. I'm bad at both but I keep going.
